Fleck started with a simple idea in the mid '50s and now controls one-quarter of the residential water softener valve market and is even more prevalent in commercial applications.
Control valves manage water flow and initiate regeneration of the resin bed. They are the heart of the water softening machine and cost the most to replace if they fail. Fleck valves are made of glass-fiber-reinforced Noryl plastic or lead-free brass. Tests by the company have shown that they can last 10,000 regeneration cycles. In actual use, this works out to over 25 years of water softening
The reliable Fleck 5600, 2510, 7000, 9000 and 9100 Twin Demand control valves for back-washable filters and softeners can handle flow rates up to 20 gallons per minute and are made to provide the backwash capacity for softeners up to 12" in diameter and filters up to a 10" diameter. These control valves offer an easy-to-program timer that controls regeneration of the filter or softener, as well as metered valves, which measure the flow of water to determine regeneration cycles. The metered valves come in the standard Econominder style, which uses a mechanical face and is programmed with knobs and buttons, and the SXT uses electronic programming.
The Fleck 5600SXT digital control valve uses a solid state microprocessor with LED display shows time of day, remaining capacity, and regeneration cycle in process. Fleck's new SXT controller is the next generation control valve. This replaces the past SE platform. The SXT features the same basic functionality as the SE, but has a larger backlit display, new diagnostic view, improved programming, and a power backup of over 48 hours.
The Fleck 2510 econominder control valve has a mechanical meter that regulates the regeneration time based on the number of gallons you have chosen. This is an excellent choice for larger homes due to its 19 GPM continuous, 24 GPM peak flow rates.
With a constant flow rate of 19.4GPM at a 15 psi drop, the Fleck 9100 is perfect for larger homes and light commercial applications. If there is a sudden demand for soft water suddenly spike, the second tank of softened water is used.
The Fleck 9000 twin demand control valve for water softeners features a fully adjustable 5-cycle valve delivering controlled up-flow backwash, down-flow brining, slow rinse, rapid rinse, timed brine refill and down-flow service.
With a continuous flow rate of 21GPM, this system is ideal for large homes and light commercial applications that require twin tank conditioning capabilities
The digital meter reads water usage electronically and during a power loss, NOVRAM provides valve status and memory backup. The Simple Electronics (SXT) control provides easy, step-by-step programming and an LED displays the time of day and soft water remaining.
